The Agbami development comprises 38 subsea wells: 22 producers, 11 water injectors and five gas injectors. Subsea trees, manifolds, flowlines, jumpers, flexible risers and electro-hydraulic umbilicals connect the drill centres to the FPSO. The development uses mid-flank production, peripheral water injection and crestal reinjection of produced gas. Separate gas-injection manifolds receive compressed gas through dual flexible risers designed for round-trip pigging. Thirteen principal topside modules contain the process and utility systems. Installed functions include inlet and oil separation, crude treatment and stabilisation, associated-gas compression, produced-water treatment, seawater treatment and high-pressure water injection. Produced gas is compressed for reservoir reinjection, fuel and process use rather than routine sales-gas export. Metering, chemical injection and subsea-control systems support well and process management. Permanent utilities include approximately 75 megawatts of electrical generation, flare and pressure-relief equipment, firewater, fire-and-gas detection, emergency shutdown, marine services, cargo systems and accommodation for about 100 people. The purpose-built FPSO is permanently moored in approximately 1,463 metres of water and has storage for about 2.2 million barrels of stabilised oil. Its offloading system uses a surface buoy connected to the FPSO by two U-shaped steel offloading lines. Export tankers moor at the buoy and receive crude away from the production vessel. The installation has no permanent crude pipeline to shore.
