Field
The Prince Field is located in the Gulf of Mexico shelf region, producing from Miocene sandstone reservoirs. It is relatively small in scale and was developed as a subsea tie-back to the King platform to maximise economic recovery using existing infrastructure.
Facilities
The Prince development consists of subsea production wells tied back via flowlines and umbilicals to the King platform, which acts as the host facility. Subsea trees and manifolds gather hydrocarbons and transport them to the host for processing. At the King platform, fluids undergo separation, oil stabilization, and gas compression. Oil is exported via pipeline into regional crude networks, while gas is exported through gas transmission pipelines connected to the Gulf Coast grid. Produced water is treated at the host platform before discharge. Subsea systems are controlled via electro-hydraulic umbilicals, enabling remote operation. The development may include injection wells for pressure support. By leveraging the King platform, Prince avoids the need for dedicated topsides infrastructure.
