Tanzanite
Tanzanite is a subsea tie-back development in the Gulf of Mexico, producing oil and gas through the Blind Faith platform. First production began in the late 2000s. The development has no standalone surface facility and relies on the host for processing and export.

Field
The Tanzanite Field is located in the Mississippi Canyon area near the Blind Faith development. Reservoirs are Miocene deepwater sandstone formations. The field is relatively small and developed as a satellite accumulation tied back to existing infrastructure.
Facilities
The Tanzanite development consists of subsea production wells connected via flowlines and umbilicals to the Blind Faith semi-submersible platform. Subsea trees and manifolds gather hydrocarbons and route them to the host facility. At Blind Faith, processing includes separation, oil stabilization, and gas compression. Oil is exported via subsea pipeline into regional crude systems, while gas is exported through Gulf of Mexico gas pipelines. Produced water is treated prior to discharge. Subsea control is achieved via electro-hydraulic umbilicals. The development may include injection wells for reservoir support. By utilising the Blind Faith platform, Tanzanite minimises infrastructure requirements while enabling efficient recovery of reserves.
