Stampede

Stampede is a deepwater tension leg platform located in Green Canyon Blocks 468, 511, and 512 in the Gulf of Mexico. First production began in 2018. The facility produces oil and gas and serves as a central host for subsea wells across the Stampede field, exporting via pipelines to shore.

Field

The Stampede Field is located in the Green Canyon area and produces from Wilcox (Lower Tertiary) sandstone reservoirs. These reservoirs are characterised by high pressures and complex geology. The field is moderate to large in scale and represents a major Paleogene development.

Facilities

The Stampede TLP is installed in approximately 3,500 ft (1,067 m) of water and supports subsea wells tied back via flowlines and risers. The facility includes multi-stage separation, oil stabilization, and gas compression systems designed for high-pressure service. Oil is exported via an 18-inch pipeline connecting into the Poseidon oil system, delivering crude to shore. Gas is exported via a 10-inch pipeline into regional Gulf of Mexico gas infrastructure. Produced water is treated prior to discharge. The platform includes water injection systems for reservoir support. Power generation is provided by gas turbines. The TLP is moored using vertical tendons and supports top-tensioned risers. Subsea infrastructure includes manifolds, high-pressure flowlines, and control umbilicals.
