Field

The Coelacanth field lies in the deepwater Gulf of Mexico and targets Miocene turbidite sandstone reservoirs. The field is modest in scale and developed as a subsea tie-back to maximize economic recovery using existing nearby infrastructure.

Facilities

The Coelacanth development consists of subsea wells tied into a manifold system and connected via flowlines to a host platform. Production fluids are transported to the host facility for separation, gas compression, and water treatment. Oil is exported via pipeline, while gas is compressed and transported through offshore networks. Subsea infrastructure includes umbilicals for control and chemical injection, subsea trees, and flow assurance systems. The development is remotely operated, with no permanent topside facilities. Thermal insulation and chemical injection systems mitigate hydrate and wax risks.
