Field
The Allegheny field is located in the Gulf of Mexico, within a deepwater turbidite system. Reservoirs are primarily Miocene sandstones deposited in submarine fan environments. The field is modest in scale and developed via subsea wells tied back to nearby infrastructure to optimize economics and utilize existing processing capacity.
Facilities
The Allegheny development comprises multiple subsea wells tied into a subsea manifold system. Production flows through insulated flowlines to a host floating production platform where separation and processing occur. The host facility handles oil-water separation, gas compression, and water treatment. Oil is exported via regional pipeline networks, while gas is either exported or reinjected for pressure support. Subsea infrastructure includes umbilicals for control, chemical injection systems for flow assurance, and subsea trees with choke and control systems. The system is designed for remote operation, with no permanent surface facility at the field location. Flow assurance strategies include thermal insulation and continuous chemical injection to prevent hydrate formation.
