Field
The Jack and St. Malo fields are located in Walker Ridge, Gulf of Mexico, producing from Paleogene (Wilcox) sandstone reservoirs. These are high-pressure, high-temperature reservoirs with significant resource potential, representing large-scale deepwater developments targeting the Lower Tertiary play.
Facilities
The Jack/St. Malo facility consists of a semi-submersible floating production unit connected to subsea wells in both fields via manifolds and flowlines. Production is transported through insulated flowlines and risers to topside facilities designed for high-pressure operation. Processing includes multi-stage separation, gas compression, and produced water treatment. Oil is stabilised and exported via the Jack/St. Malo oil export pipeline system, connecting to regional crude networks, while gas is compressed and exported through offshore gas pipelines. Subsea infrastructure includes high-pressure-rated trees, manifolds, and electro-hydraulic umbilicals for control and chemical injection. Flow assurance systems include insulation and chemical dosing to manage hydrates and wax. Power is generated onboard using gas turbines. The facility is designed to handle extreme reservoir conditions and integrate multiple large subsea developments into a single processing hub.
