Jolliet
Jolliet is a deepwater floating production system in the Green Canyon area of the U.S. Gulf of Mexico. It is a tension leg platform (TLP) producing primarily oil with associated gas. Installed in 1998, it was one of the earliest deepwater TLP developments in the region, designed for subsea tie-backs and regional processing before export via pipeline systems.

Field
The Jolliet Field lies in the Green Canyon area of the central Gulf of Mexico. Reservoirs are Miocene-age deepwater turbidite sandstones with good porosity and permeability. The field was developed as a moderate-scale deepwater oil project, utilizing subsea wells tied back to the TLP, representing an early application of TLP technology for deeper water Gulf developments.
Facilities
The Jolliet TLP is moored by vertical tendons and supports a compact topsides facility designed for processing production from subsea wells. The installation handles multiphase flow from multiple subsea production wells, with initial separation into oil, gas, and produced water streams. Oil is stabilized onboard and exported via pipeline, while associated gas is compressed for export or used as fuel gas. Produced water is treated before discharge. The facility includes gas compression systems, separation trains, and basic dehydration capability. Power generation is provided by gas turbines using produced gas. The platform is connected to subsea infrastructure via flowlines and risers, with control systems managing well flow remotely. The design emphasizes minimal footprint and weight, typical of early deepwater TLPs. Export pipelines link the installation to regional Gulf of Mexico infrastructure networks, enabling integration with onshore refining and gas transmission systems.
