Blind Faith
Blind Faith is a deepwater semi-submersible floating production system in the Gulf of Mexico, producing oil and gas since 2008. It functions as a host facility for subsea wells and nearby tie-backs, providing full processing, export, and utility support. The installation is moored in deep water and connected to regional pipeline infrastructure for hydrocarbon export.

Field
The Blind Faith field lies in Mississippi Canyon, Gulf of Mexico, targeting Miocene-age turbidite sandstone reservoirs. The field is moderate in scale and developed as a subsea tie-back to a central host facility. Reservoirs are typical deepwater channel and fan deposits, with development focused on efficient recovery through clustered subsea wells tied to a floating production unit.
Facilities
Blind Faith is developed using a semi-submersible production platform connected to multiple subsea wells via flowlines and manifolds. Subsea trees control production and are linked through a central manifold system enabling commingled flow. Produced fluids are transported to the host facility where multi-stage separation splits oil, gas, and produced water. Oil is stabilized and exported via pipeline to downstream infrastructure, while gas is compressed for export through offshore gas networks. Produced water is treated and discharged in accordance with offshore standards. The platform includes gas turbine-driven power generation, chemical injection systems for flow assurance, and subsea umbilicals providing hydraulic control, electrical power, and communications. Flow assurance is managed through insulation and continuous injection to mitigate hydrate and wax risks. The facility also supports water injection where required. Control systems allow centralized monitoring of wells and subsea equipment, with redundancy built into critical systems for reliability.
