Neptune TLP

Neptune is a deepwater tension leg platform located in Atwater Valley Block 575 in the Gulf of Mexico. It produces oil and gas and began production in 2008. The platform serves as a host facility for multiple subsea developments, exporting hydrocarbons via dedicated oil and gas pipelines.

Field

The Neptune Field lies in the Atwater Valley area of the Gulf of Mexico. Reservoirs are deepwater Paleogene and Miocene sandstones, including lower tertiary formations. The field is moderate in size and developed as a hub to integrate several nearby subsea accumulations.

Facilities

The Neptune TLP is installed in approximately 4,250 ft (1,295 m) of water and supports subsea tie-backs via multiple flowlines and risers. The facility processes hydrocarbons through separation, oil stabilization, and gas compression systems. Oil is exported via the Caesar oil pipeline system, which connects to the Poseidon network and onward to onshore terminals. Gas is exported through the Cleopatra gas pipeline, linking into the ANR pipeline system. Produced water is treated before discharge. The platform includes water injection systems for reservoir pressure support. Power is generated by gas turbines using produced gas. The TLP is moored using vertical tendons and supports top-tensioned risers. Subsea infrastructure includes manifolds and electro-hydraulic control systems. The facility is designed as a hub with capacity for multiple tie-backs.
