Intro

Brigantine BR is a fixed, normally unmanned platform in Block 49/19 installed around 2000 to service the Brigantine field’s A accumulation. It provides wellhead support and fluid gathering for gas production. The platform ties physically via subsea pipelines to processing hubs, functioning as a satellite within the Southern North Sea infrastructure.

Field

The Brigantine A accumulation was discovered in 1986 and forms part of the Brigantine field cluster in the UK Southern North Sea. Reservoirs are in Permian aged rocks. Development uses small fixed structures tied to central processing platforms rather than standalone processing facilities, reflecting the field’s modest size compared to larger North Sea assets.

Facilities

Brigantine BR’s structure hosts production wellheads and manifolds for the Brigantine A accumulation. It lacks significant processing modules, instead routing multiphase fluids to processing installations such as Corvette or Leman Alpha via subsea pipelines. The platform’s design includes basic flowlines, valves, and metering. Utilities are minimal: remote control systems, chemical injection for corrosion and hydrate control, and power for instrumentation. All separation, compression, and dehydration are carried out at host facilities. Produced gas is integrated into regional export lines post-processing. Control and safety systems allow remote monitoring and shut-in from onshore or host platforms.
