Intro

L9-FF-1 is a fixed gas production platform in block L9 of the Dutch North Sea, commissioned in 1997. It processes natural gas and is one of the principal installations in the L9 area, tied via pipeline to Nogat/NGT export infrastructure.

Field

The L9 field produces conventional gas from Rotliegendes reservoirs. As one of the larger installations in the sector, L9-FF-1 serves as a central production and partial processing hub linking satellite flowlines to export networks.

Facilities

L9-FF-1’s infrastructure comprises production well slots and integrated processing equipment, including separation and gas conditioning in a single central train. Electrical generation supports control, safety, and utility systems. Topside modules include accommodation and control equipment, with subsea pipelines connecting to the Nogat trunkline for export. Design supports long-term offshore operation, with periodic maintenance and inspection performed by support vessels.
