Intro

L9-FB-1 is a fixed normally unmanned gas satellite platform in block L9 of the Dutch North Sea, installed in 2007. It gathers gas from local wells and feeds production into central hubs like L9-FA-1 for processing and export to onshore networks.

Field

Part of the L9 field development, L9-FB-1 accesses Rotliegendes gas reservoirs and contributes to L9 area production tied into the Nogat/NGT system.

Facilities

L9-FB-1’s facilities consist of wellheads with associated flowlines tied back to main platforms. Topside equipment focuses on metering and routing gas into the broader export system. Power supports control and safety instrumentation, including emergency shutdown and fire/gas detection. Subsea connections link to the export network feeding onshore processing. Periodic maintenance ensures topside and subsea integrity.
