Intro

A fixed normally unmanned platform installed in 2002 in the K05 cluster, designated as a compressor/pressure-support node. It sits alongside the main K05P hub and aids in maintaining flow pressure and export continuity.

Field

The K05 gas fields produce conventional natural gas from shallow marine sandstone reservoirs. The K05 cluster supports multiple installations with central processing at K5P and satellites like K5EN/C, while K5PK augments production by managing pressures and tie-ins.

Facilities

K5PK’s infrastructure focuses on gas pressure support and network tie-ins rather than primary processing. It includes manifold and boost compression modules to assist field flow assurance and to elevate well outputs toward export conditions. Fluids from local well slots are routed through subsea tie-ins, with core separation and dehydration performed at the primary hub, K5P. K5PK features minimal utility systems typical of unmanned installations, such as power for safety and control systems, chemical dosing units for flow assurance, and remote communication links. The platform enhances field drainage and stabilizes export pressure profiles, ensuring continuous integration with export pipelines feeding the Dutch onshore system.
