Intro

L15-FA-1 is a fixed offshore gas production platform in the Dutch North Sea, historically producing gas from the L15 field since the early 1990s. It is integrated into regional processing and export infrastructure feeding the NOGAT pipeline system.

Field

The L15 gas field produces conventional natural gas from reservoirs northwest of Den Helder. It was developed in the late 20th century alongside nearby small field infrastructure tying into national export pipelines.

Facilities

L15-FA-1 is equipped with production wells, gas separation, and initial conditioning facilities, enabling export of treated gas via subsea pipelines. The platform’s topsides historically handled separation and dehydration ahead of export to onshore facilities via the NOGAT system, which connects multiple Dutch offshore gas developments to the gas treatment plant at Den Helder. Utilities include platform power generation, water and fire systems, safety shutdowns, and integrated controls for sustained operations. As part of a mature field, it interfaces with adjacent satellite wells and subsea completions, receiving and delivering production flows into the export network.
