Intro

Fixed steel platform in the Oseberg Field Centre, connected by bridge to Oseberg A and B. Commissioned in the late 1990s, dedicated to gas processing and export functions within the field complex.

Field

Oseberg Field – Major Norwegian North Sea oil/gas field discovered in 1979; developed with a field centre of multiple bridge-linked platforms. Reservoirs are mainly Middle Jurassic Brent Group sandstones. Oil and gas are processed and exported via established pipelines.

Facilities

Oseberg D’s infrastructure focuses on gas processing, dehydration and export compression. It receives wellstreams bridged from Oseberg A/B, conducts second/third stage gas treatment, gas export compression, and interfaces with the Oseberg Gas Transport (OGT) system to Heimdal/Statpipe. Liquid streams are stabilized and routed to the Oseberg Transport System (OTS) to Sture terminal. Power generation includes gas turbines with associated utilities (HVAC, water handling, chemical injection). Control and safety systems are integrated with the Oseberg Field Centre’s network. Structural utilities include flare systems, living quarters support through the adjacent linked platforms, and subsea interfaces for satellite tie-ins. Oseberg D’s dedicated processes relieve upstream separation loads and contribute to system-wide export reliability.
