Intro

F3-FB-1 AP is the associated accommodation and production support platform for the F3-FB-1 complex in the Dutch North Sea, installed in 1993. It provides living quarters and secondary processing support for F3-FB operations, facilitating personnel logistics and auxiliary functions.

Field

The F3-FB field’s infrastructure integrates F3-FB-1 AP as the accommodation and processing support node for the broader F3-FB oil and gas development. It underpins operations in Upper Jurassic reservoirs accessed by F3-FB-1.

Facilities

F3-FB-1 AP features living quarters for up to ~36 personnel, administrative and control rooms, and supplemental processing modules for interfacing with F3-FB-1 production. Facilities include crew accommodation, mess and safety areas, backup power generation, essential utilities (water, HVAC, compressed air), control and SCADA links to F3-FB-1 and the offloading tower. Offshore logistics use helideck and gangway connections. Secondary processing support may include metering, emergency systems, and flare management. The platform links physically to F3-FB-1 via bridge structure for personnel and equipment transit. Electrical systems interconnect with F3-FB-1 main generation for load sharing. Safety infrastructure encompasses lifeboats, fire suppression, and gas detection. The accommodation platform’s robust structural design accommodates North Sea weather loads, with periodic maintenance by support vessels to sustain living and operational support systems.
