Intro
L13-FE-1 is a fixed, manned gas satellite platform in the L13 block of the Dutch North Sea, commissioned in 1989. It produces natural gas from assigned wells and feeds into the L13-FC-1 and wider export infrastructure. It is part of the L13 field’s network of satellites.
Field
The field served by L13-FE-1 is a conventional offshore gas accumulation in Block L13, developed via multiple fixed installations draining Rotliegendes sandstone reservoirs. Gas is collected and exported to onshore facilities.
Facilities
L13-FE-1’s facilities include wellheads and flowlines tying into L13-FC-1’s gathering system. Basic topside equipment supports metering and routing of gas to central compression and processing hubs. Power generation and control systems enable remote monitoring, emergency shutdown and safety functions. Utilities include instrument air and essential services. Subsea flowlines connect to the export pipeline network sending gas to onshore treatment and distribution systems. Periodic maintenance sustains platform and subsea integrity. Integration with neighboring L13 platforms ensures coordinated field development.
