Intro
Harald B is the bridge-linked accommodation and support platform in the Harald field complex in the Danish North Sea, commissioned concurrently with Harald A in 1997. It does not process hydrocarbons but provides living quarters, utilities, and operational support for the adjacent Harald A production facility.
Field
The Harald field produces gas and condensate from Upper Cretaceous chalk and Middle Jurassic sandstone. As a companion installation to Harald A, it serves field operations in a remote central North Sea location with moderate water depths.
Facilities
Harald B comprises accommodation modules, safety facilities, and operational support systems such as water treatment, power distribution, and living utilities. It is structurally linked to Harald A via bridging, enabling easy personnel transfer and shared use of service systems. It houses sleeping quarters, mess and recreation spaces, and emergency systems. Power and utilities may be routed from the processing platform or generated locally for accommodations. The platform connects into shared export and control networks that serve the Harald complex and coordinate with regional hubs like Tyra, making it integral to sustained offshore operations.
