Intro

34/7 HY11 is a floating offshore wind turbine forming part of the Hywind Tampen offshore wind farm. Installed by 2023, it contributes renewable power to offshore oil and gas operations in the Norwegian North Sea.

Field

The Hywind Tampen wind farm supports the Snorre and Gullfaks oil and gas fields, reducing emissions and fuel gas usage by supplying renewable offshore electricity.

Facilities

HY11 comprises a spar-type floating foundation, offshore wind turbine, and dynamic subsea cable system. The installation is unmanned, remotely operated, and designed for long-term offshore wind power generation under North Sea conditions.
