Intro

34/7 HY10 is a floating offshore wind turbine installed as part of the Hywind Tampen project in the Norwegian North Sea. Commissioned during the 2022–2023 period, it provides renewable electricity to offshore oil and gas platforms.

Field

Hywind Tampen was developed to supply power to the Snorre and Gullfaks fields, integrating offshore wind generation with existing oil and gas infrastructure.

Facilities

HY10 consists of a floating spar foundation with ballast stabilization, a large offshore wind turbine, and subsea power export cables. It operates unmanned with remote monitoring and safety systems focused on electrical and structural integrity.
