Intro
34/7 HY06 is a floating wind turbine within the Hywind Tampen offshore wind farm. Commissioned during the 2022–2023 installation phase, it supplies renewable energy to offshore oil and gas platforms in the Norwegian North Sea.
Field
Hywind Tampen is an offshore wind development serving the Snorre and Gullfaks fields. It is not a hydrocarbon field but an energy supply project integrated with existing offshore production infrastructure.
Facilities
HY06 uses a floating spar foundation anchored by multiple mooring lines. The turbine includes standard offshore wind components and exports power through subsea cables. The installation is unmanned, remotely monitored, and designed for minimal offshore intervention.
