Intro
Naturgass Vest is an onshore gas distribution/industrial gas usage facility in Norway associated with the gas infrastructure near Kollsnes and the broader Norwegian gas network. It is not an offshore production platform; rather, it processes/distributes natural gas delivered through onshore pipelines to industrial users.
Field
The operations relate to receiving processed gas from the Kollsnes processing plant and distributing it (e.g., for industrial use or small-scale liquefaction) within western Norway. This is part of downstream utilization of offshore gas rather than an offshore reservoir facility.
Facilities
Naturgass Vest infrastructure includes onshore gas receipt points linked to the Kollsnes processing station, pressure regulation, metering, and potentially small-scale gas handling and distribution systems. It may include gas conditioning, measurement, user metering, and local distribution networks serving industrial customers. Liquefied natural gas (LNG) facilities and small-bore distribution lines form part of associated operations where natural gas is supplied for heating, industrial process energy, or fuel applications. There is no hydrocarbon separation, export loading or offshore wells as part of this node; its role is gas delivery and local energy utility.
