Intro
A fixed normally unmanned satellite wellhead platform within the K06 gas field area, installed in 1992. It serves as a gathering node for selected wells, routing fluids to central processing hubs without major onboard processing.
Field
The K06 conventional gas field system includes multiple installations tied to a central hub; reservoirs are Permian shallow water sands developed with central and satellite platforms to optimize field extraction.
Facilities
K6DN supports production wellheads and subsea connections, with fluids routed through subsea lines to core processing installations (e.g., K6P). It is designed for unmanned remote operation with minimal utility systems—power for control/security systems, emergency shutdowns, and remote communications. Core processing and export compression occur at larger hubs, while K6DN’s infrastructure ensures flow gathering and safe transfer. Export pipelines from the K06 complex integrate into broader Dutch offshore gas trunklines.
