Intro
A fixed normally unmanned gas wellhead platform in the K06 area, installed in 1991 as part of the K06 field development. It provides production well support and subsea tie-ins feeding the central infrastructure.
Field
The K06 conventional gas fields comprise shallow water gas reservoirs developed since the early 1990s. These reservoirs produce from Rotliegend sandstones, with central facilities and satellite platforms like K6D enhancing field coverage and drainage.
Facilities
K6D’s facilities include well slots and manifolds connected via subsea flowlines to larger processing hubs such as K6P and possibly K6C. Core processing—separation, dehydration and export compression—occurs on central platforms; K6D’s role is primarily production collection. It is equipped with basic power for instrumentation and safety systems to ensure unmanned operation, as well as flow control and remote monitoring. Produced gas is routed through the K06 network into regional export pipelines. The platform improves drainage and reservoir access across the field.
