Intro
Halfdan BC is the accommodation platform within the Halfdan B complex in the Danish North Sea, installed circa 2007 to provide living quarters and support services for the Halfdan B production cluster. It links by bridges to processing and riser platforms such as Halfdan BB and BD.
Field
Serving the Halfdan oil and gas field, which produces from chalk reservoirs and has operated since 1999, Halfdan BC supports personnel and operational logistics, enabling efficient staffing of the Halfdan B cluster which manages oil and gas flows from surrounding wells and satellites.
Facilities
Halfdan BC contains living quarters, safety shelters, and support facilities for crews working on the Halfdan B complex. It connects via bridges to Halfdan BB (riser/wellhead) and BD (process) platforms. The broader complex includes processing, water injection and lift gas infrastructure on HBD, power generation, control systems, and utilities shared across platforms. Accommodation features include berthing, mess and welfare areas, and emergency systems. Shared utilities and process control link into the Halfdan hub’s power distribution, produced-water handling and export control systems. Exports integrate with Danish Offshore Consortium pipelines to Tyra West and regional hubs. Structural design is a fixed jacket with bridge-linked modules.
