Intro

One of the two original fixed steel jacket platforms (Drilling “D”) in the Bruce complex offshore the UK Northern North Sea, first producing in 1993. It provides drilling, production support and interfaces with bridge-linked platforms for processing, utilities and quarters. The platform is integral to the Bruce field’s physical infrastructure.

Field

The Bruce oil and gas field is located in Blocks 9/8a, 9/9a and 9/9b ~340 km northeast of Aberdeen. Discovered in the 1970s, it produces from conventional reservoir rocks within the Northern North Sea. The field forms part of the Bruce-Keith-Rhum complex.

Facilities

The Drilling platform houses well slots for production and injection wells and supports drilling operations. It is bridge-linked to the Bruce PUQ and compression platforms, facilitating fluid and control connectivity. Fluids from wells are routed via manifold and flowlines to separator systems on the complex before onward processing. Gas is exported via the Frigg pipeline to St. Fergus; liquids via the Forties system. Utility systems include power generation, water treatment, accommodation support and control infrastructure. The design supports long-term field operations with integrated drilling, production and export interfaces across the bridge-linked complex.
