Intro
BD is a steel jacket drilling and well support platform in the West Inde area of the Indefatigable field (Block 49/18), installed in 1973. It facilitates drilling and wellhead functions for the B side of the West Inde cluster, feeding production platforms and export hubs.
Field
Positioned on the Indefatigable field’s West flank, BD accesses Rotliegend gas reservoirs developed as part of an extensive network of platforms and wells delivering gas to export infrastructure via central reception points and pipelines.
Facilities
BD comprises drilling slots and wellheads for production wells. Flowlines convey produced gas and condensate to the BP production platform or onward to gathering hubs such as AT. The platform includes well control systems, chemical injection points for flow assurance, and basic safety and shutdown systems. Topside utilities are limited to power distribution and communications tied into nearby platforms. Structural design supports drilling equipment and wellhead clusters with stability in North Sea conditions. Export and gathering pipelines link BD into the broader field network.
